Strawberry Queen - You are a humble ant in servitude to the Queen of Ants. Bring the strawberry down from the garden above and let it roll down underground to her majesty, collecting seeds along the way. But be careful not to disappoint her!

Small prototype platform game made in one week with Unity for the IGA - Level 1 game development.

This is the second game I've made (and the first time using unity), and whilst there was still a billion things I wish I could of implemented, there were still things I learnt that are invaluable. Such as learning Canvas and UI systems which seem intuitive to apply across different gaming engines, tile maps and a introduction to C#.

Thank you for giving this game a go. I hope you enjoyed some semblance of it. Any feedback helps my learning journey immensely and I will fully appreciate it, so please write down your thoughts in the comments. Cheers!

I dig the aesthetic, somewhere between cute and unsettling. The plinko/pachinko mechanic is also neat, I can imagine dealing with really complicated layouts would be fun (in the frustrating kind of way). Couple notes though:

  • Did you intend for the ant player to roll around? If not, you should lock the Z axis on the rigid body.
  • I noticed some sticking while scooting the ant around. Are you using a tilemap to render the non-oblique platforms? If so you should check out the composite collider
